An Engagement Session on the beach at the Black Castle, Wicklow, Ireland.

The last time I visited Ireland, I had the chance to visit Wicklow Town near the end of my trip and shoot this sweet engagement session for C & O.

The Location

I had a really hard time choosing a location for their shoot, but in the end I landed on the Black Castle in Wicklow Town, County Wicklow. Perched on cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, it was the perfect spot; right in Wicklow Town so no big hike to get to it, long grassy open areas, castle ruins, and beautiful views of the ocean and sunset. On top of that, there is a gorgeous beach right beside it, with stunning cliffs and veiws of the castle ruins in the background. The variety of settings at this location made it an easy choice!

The Shoot

C & O had never had photos done before (which is very common!) so we had a lot of fun with adding playfulness and movement into their session. We explored the castle ruins before running around and having fun on the beach below. I loved having the castle ruins in view in the background from the beach. What a beautiful location!

I had a blast with this couple and the location, and would definitely love to go back again someday. It was a very romantic setting as the sun went down, perfect for couples and elopements.
