Mommy and Me session
A mommy and me tree farm mini session. A special session just for a mom and her little one (and their doggy too!).
What a treat this mommy and me session was. Outside of getting to take photos of these cutie pies, it was so nice talking to another mom about how fast our children were growing. We talked about how we are always taking photos of our little ones, not wanting to miss a moment. But also how we never end up being in any photos with them, the downside to being the one who is always doing the documenting.
A lot of moms I talk to share the same experiences with me; always the one taking photos, and never in them. Thousands of photos of their children and partner, and an odd selfie here and there with them in it.
This mom almost didn’t book the session. But, she decided on a whim that she deserved these photo with her daughter and made a last minute booking. And she’s thrilled to finally have photos of the two of them together.
A motherhood session isn’t being selfish. You’re finally treating yourself to the precious moments with your little one that you deserve to have documented. Moments you will be able to look back on and remember the feeling of for the rest of your life. And that’s priceless.
Fall family session
A beautiful fall family sunset session in Kemptville with a western style.
I had so much fun doing a longer family session with this little gem of a family. They just had a fun time laughing and playing games and hanging out the whole time while I got to document it all! We had perfect weather and an amazing sunset to top it all off. How cute are they with their cowboy hats and boots? The western theme sure made for some great photos!
Kevin + Chelsea
A beautiful sunset engagement session at two different locations near Arnprior, Ontario.
This session was extra special because I got to photograph my little bro and sister-in-law to be! The evening was magic with the beautiful light in both locations. We started the session at Waba Cottage and then finished up at a nearby public beach. I hope to get to do another session at these locations in the future!
Shayne + Kathleen
An outdoor engagement session with Shayne and Kathleen. Settings featuring home brews in their backyard, dogs, a field and a cozy fire.
Shayne and Kathleen have been together many years and have decided to have an intimate wedding next April. They asked me to capture some engagement photos for them which felt authentic to them as a couple. They didn’t want any frills or poses, and I was all for that! We discussed locations that are special to them and decided on two; the first one is their backyard where they spend a lot of time with their dogs, grow hops for their home brewing hobby, and spend lots of time sitting at the fire, while the second location was a field nearby where they often walk with their dogs.
The weather was dull and there was even a little rain, but we were all very happy with the mood it brought to their photos. Neither of them were very comfortable in front of the camera, but after some prompts and some of their home brew, they were able to relax and have some laughs. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next April!
Lung Family
A newborn session for the Lung family.
The lung family welcomed their newest little family member in August. It was such a treat to document this new chapter in their life.
Styled Couples Session
A styled couples engagement shoot in beautiful Kingston, Ontario.
This elevated, western-chic shoot was SO MUCH FUN. The real-life engaged couple were such amazing models to photograph and provided such an interesting look. The western look paired with the beautiful florals and settings were a dream to work with. The jag, the barn and farm settings all allowed for so much creativity and unique shots. This was such a learning experience and I’m so happy with how the photos turned out. I hope I find some couples who are open to doing some unique shoots like this in the future!

Styled Elopement
A styled elopement shoot in Kingston, Ontario.
What a truly fun and inspiring shoot this was! A wonderful group of fellow photographers and I got together to creatively capture a styled elopement in beautiful Kingston, Ontario, back in May. This intimate wedding shoot featured an earthy, romantic, and distinctly industrial vibe that was simply beautiful to photograph! It provided a fantastic opportunity to practice taking shots in a cozy, intimate wedding setting while learning from several other amazing photographers in the process. Our models were a real-life engaged couple, and they were an absolute joy to work with. I can’t wait to have the chance to do something like this again someday!
