A Solo Flower Farm Maternity Session in Kemptville, Ontario

In July I had the chance to shoot this solo maternity session at a local flower farm. We lucked out with the most beautiful evening and sunset, I really could not have asked for more!
Why do a solo maternity shoot?
This solo maternity shoot really allowed us to slow down and focus solely on mama. We took the time to play with light and different angles, which can be harder to do when partners and/or other children are also in the session.
Pregnancy is such a sacred thing, and it’s always so special to get the chance to really let mom shine and take a moment to celebrate everything she is doing and creating.
A solo maternity session gave us lots of opportunity to get creative and play!

The Solo Maternity Session
This gorgeous mama was up for whatever, which made this such a fun and creative shoot. I helped her pick out a couple of different outfits to wear during her session, both of which I really loved and gave some different looks to her shoot.
The flower farmer whose location we were using very kindly put together a couple of floral arrangements for us to use throughout the session. I love how the flowers looked in the basket, so sweet!
This location is one of my favourites to shoot at. The open fields really allow the sun and sunset to shine alongside whoever I’m photographing. I love to play with the light at this location!
I am so happy with how these photos turned out, and so thankful to this mama for letting me get creative with her.
