Dress in something that you feel comfortable in! Wear that favourite dress or your ripped jeans, whatever screams "you" and makes you feel confident and comfortable. I do recommend that you avoid dressing too matchy matchy with your sweetie and/or other family members; instead, go for a complimentary look, which will give a more natural look to your photos. Think coordinated neutrals, instead of dressing everyone in jeans and a white t-shirt. Reach out to me and I can help you with this as well!

Once you book with me and pay your retainer, that session is reserved for you. Last minute cancellations mean a session time goes unused, which is a loss of income for me and a missed opportunity for someone else to use the session time.
Life happens sometimes, and I get that! I will reschedule your session under extenuating circumstances, just reach out to me asap. If something comes up and you're able to give me enough advance notice, we can reschedule as well. Refunds are not given on the retainer or the full session amount, but we can reschedule with advanced notice.

My style is documentary, which means I document moments. This is different to more traditional style of photography you may be used to, including portrait photography and studio photography. Documentary is less formal, which means I don't do much posing of my subjects; instead, I give prompts to help create real moments and emotion to capture on camera. Your photos will therefore feel more representative of you and more authentic.
I am a storyteller and want to tell the story of you! Each session is unique in that it represents the people I’m photographing, whether it be a place that is special to them, an activity that represents them, etc.
My editing style is heavily influenced by my film days. I tend to create images with shadow and grain that give a timeless look and feel. I want you to look back at your photos with nostalgia for those moments. My photographs tend to be more dark and moody, and are definitely not the "light and airy" style. I do not do heavy corrections to skin or faces in my images; my goal is tell a visual story of this time in your life, as you are. Check out my gallery and instagram pages to see examples of my style.

I encourage my clients to go ahead with their session with me, even if the forecast isn’t what you were hoping for. Embracing the weather can create some truly beautiful and unique photos that we may not have had the opportunity to capture otherwise. Some of my favourite photos are from sessions that were rainy and overcast. However, if the weather is too harsh to shoot our session in then I will certainly be in touch about rescheduling our date.
